Horde News Archive

April 29, 2005
Hello all, it has been quite some time since I have been up on here, but the time has come. Time for what you ask? Well to be honest I am not sure, let's see it is 3:40 in the am. That does not mean much huh? Well OK.
So what kind of news do I have for you... Well it would seem that BuBz is in the works of making a Crimson M short. And Rick is in the process of something unknown, but it is a movie. And The Horde Show Episode 2 is looking rather dismal, lack of interest perhaps? Either way that is a brief overview of videos in our neck of the woods.
May is almost here, and for me that means a number of things. For one school is just about done, and summer is around the corner. As a result of school being done I am in the works of preparing to move. Check out our lounge for more info on that. However the move may actually shut the website, down... more details to come as I find out more. So will we, rather I still be here in a month? It is hard to say. We have given it a good 3 year run, but it might be over.
That is all the news we have on our front. Be sure to keep checking back here, and at the lounge for further information and details.
Much List Love...

April Fools day is here! How exciting, but this post is not a joke. While I have been known to use this day to its full advantage, that is not the case here. No instead I am here to release the announcement of The Horde's 3rd Annual Camping Trip. Yes that is right it is back, and we are gonna be doing it once again. Not that anyone but us really come, we are doing it anyway and I am putting the news up here. Just as in the past three years, any of you wanting to get down on this event are more than welcome to come and join in for the fun. The date has not been set as of yet, nor has the place, but it has been decided that we are gonna do it again. We are going to be staying at a new location than we have in the past. The first year we did this we camped at Point Beach State Park, and the second year we camped at Kohler-Andrae State Park. So we will be in a different camping spot, rolling the boulder, socializing with homies, and just having a good old time. As each of the past two years have been. We are planning for this trip around the end of May or sometime in June. This will not only mark our 3rd Annual Horde Camping Trip, but it will also mark our 3 year anniversary of the establishment of both The Horde as an Inner Circle, and our 3 years on-line. Man how the time has flown by. And I am also hoping that we can maybe even start preparing for out 10,000 hit on the site. Wow not that impressive for 3 years, but it means something to me. I do want to thank all of our readers and browsers. I truly do hope you enjoy your time spent here at The Horde.
You know I have been doing this web site for three years now, and I still get so excited to make a post, and actually see it on-line. I really do like keeping up this web site, and watching others come and enjoy it to. I really think it is something to celebrate. But all that aside the camping trip is more than just about rolling the boulder and/or celebrating our years we have spent as an Inner Circle. We do special lil ceremonies at the Camping Trip, all Horde involved and dealing with Karma and the achievements of our fellow Inner Circle Members. We just put things together to gather together. It is like Violent J said in 2002 at the Gathering, we do not know what will go on, we just do it to be together. Just to be fucking be together. And he is right, it is just such a good feeling to gather with friends under the open sky and just be yourself. It is truly something amazing. At times your homies (both those you know well, all the way to the ones you never met or don't even know exist) can be lost sight of quite easily. One can get angry or lost or scared in the world, and find it hard to deal with life, but even if they know they have homies, it does not seem to help. And for me at least, there are times when you think it is all just not worth it, and there is just too many problems in the world (meaning both in your life and in the global scale of things). But I find that at other times something triggers your mind and all that gets washed way, and you realize that all those homies and unknowns really do matter. You feel OK and can continue on as a result. You feel stronger and more secure about your life and your situation, and this stems from those you call your homies; be it family members, best friends, or complete strangers. But I am sure all of you have had such a fluctuations of feelings like I just described. Well for me, this camping trip is like such an annual wash, and I get to plan it! It is just a very refreshing thing, and this year will be no different.
Each year during our Camping Trip we have had some type of hurdle to get over. The first year it was the Wardens telling us to keep it down after 11, and being king of dick like about it. The second year our homie Chris got booted out the camp for some bunk ass reason. While the Ranger or warden, what ever the fuck they are, was not a dick, he sure gave Chris a bone. But the time spent together was grand, and I am very much looking forward to this years Horde Camping Trip.
I would also like to speculate that the second installment of The Horde Show will be done by then. No I am not just blowing smoke, I will make sure it gets done. And who knows, a third might come out of the Camping Trip. Like a special 3 year anniversary sow. But we will see.
For more insight into what will be coming keep tuned into ouija's Lounge. This is my blog that I use as an extension of this web site. For those of you that remember back to past versions of The Horde, we have always had a Lounge. But some time last year I made The Horde Lounge a blog site. There you can find inside info into The Horde, more speculation, and more info in to The Horde Show. And for those of you who stop in to visit the Lounge you will know that I have been running a stream of jokes and such, which will continue until I run out. But keep checking in there for other Horde News.
I would also like to touch on the up and coming GOTJ 2005. I did swear that I would be in attendance, but that is really up in the air. I will be done with all of my formal UWM college courses in the middle of May, and in the summer I will be working on my final paper for Graduation which is in August. So, school will come first but that does not necessarily mean I am not going, it is just up in the air and I will not know until later in the year. I just hope it will work out so I can attend. As for the other Horde members, I do not know, but I think they are also up in the air on the subject.
